Bridgeport, Pa. – (October 23, 2018) - The CWPA's Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) weekly awards were released on Tuesday with Fordham sweeping the trio of awards for the first time since the league divided up its Player of the Week award into Offensive and Defensive honors. Junior driver
Jake Miller-Tolt (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) was named Offensive Player of the Week with freshman goalkeeper
Bailey O'Mara (Darien, Conn.) being named Defensive Player of the Week. Fellow freshman utility/2M player
Dimitris Koukias (Athens, Greece) rounded out the trio of award by taking Rookie of the Week honors.
The trio of Rams helped Fordham to a 3-0 week, extending the team's win streak to four games, with wins over then-#20 Wagner, Connecticut College, and Salem International.
Miller-Tolt totaled 13 goals, eight assists, four steals, and two blocks in the three matches last week. He had five goals and two assists in win over #20 Wagner, while netting six goals and two assists in win over Salem. He then capped the week with two goals and four assists in win over Connecticut College.
O'Mara recorded 23 saves in two starts in net last week. He started the week with a season-high 12 saves, which included a penalty block, against #20 Wagner. He then followed with 11 stops in win over Salem.
Koukias tallied nine goals and six steals in the three matches. He netted a season-high four goals to go with two steals in the win over #20 Wagner, while registering two goals and three steals in win over Salem. He capped his week with three goals and a steal in win over Connecticut College.
The Fordham water polo team will next be in action on Saturday, October 27th, when the Rams host Johns Hopkins at 11:00 AM and Bucknell at 7:00 PM at the Messmore Aquatic Center.
