Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham freshman quarterback
Tim DeMorat was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week, it was announced today. It is the second career weekly honor for the Merritt Island, Florida, native, who also earned the award on September 24.

In a 43-14 Patriot League win at Lehigh University on Saturday, DeMorat completed 14 of 23 passes for 299 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for a score. The 299 passing yards is a Fordham freshman single game record, eclipsing the former mark of 288 yards set by John Skelton against Georgetown in 2006.

On the year, DeMorat has completed 59 of 93 passes for 799 yards and four touchdowns while he has also run for two scores. He leads the Patriot League in completion percentage and is second in passing efficiency (137.4).

The Rams return to action on Saturday, October 20, as they host the Bryant University Bulldogs in a nonconference game on Jack Coffey Field at 1:00 p.m.
