Chestnut Hill, Mass. – The Fordham men's tennis team opened the 2018 season with a 7-0 loss to Boston College at the Flynn Recreation Complex on Friday.
Fordham opened the match dropping the doubles point as
Lutwin de Macar and
Fabian Hansch Mauritzson fell to Derek Austin and Chris Grasel 6-1 at first doubles and
Finn Kemper and
Jeremy Chung lost to Gereon Heitmann 6-1 at the second position.
Max Green and
Alex Makatsaria were down 5-2 at third doubles when their match was halted.
The Rams had close matches with the Eagles at second and third singles but couldn't break through as Boston College swept the singles matches.
The Rams have a quick turnaround as they travel to Providence, RI to take on Brown at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
