West Point, N.Y. – The Fordham men's tennis team fell to Army 4-0 Saturday morning at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center.
Fordham opned the match dropping the doubles point as
Jeremy Chung and
Steven Duka fell to Nikita Pereverzin and Myles Conlin 6-1 in third doubles,
Fabian Mauritzson and and
Joseph Kavaloski lost to Michael Sienko and Sam Lampman 6-3 in second doubles.
Tomas Cosmai and
Allen Thornes were down 4-5 to Michael Nguyen and Grant Riechmann in first doubles when the match was halted.
In singles play,
Tomas Cosmai came closest to earning a point for the Rams as he dropped a close first set 7-5 before falling in the second set 6-1. Â
The Rams finish out their weekend in West Point, N.Y. Sunday morning as they take on St. Bonaventure.
