Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham baseball team announced that it will host its annual Alumni Day event on Saturday, May 6
th in conjunction with the team's game against LIU Brooklyn.
All baseball alumni, families, and friends are welcome to attend the day at Houlihan Park. As a part of the day, the Rams will honor the 1987 MAAC and ECAC Championship team, prior to the game.
The 1987 squad went 33-13 that season and made the NCAA Regional in Atlanta, Georgia. The team featured seven Fordham Athletic Hall of Famers, which included pitchers Pete Harnisch, Paul Darrigo, and Bobby Aylmer, infielder Brad Howland, outfielder Jack Allen, head coach Dan Gallagher, and athletic trainer
Vincent Porricelli.
Cost for the event in $25 per person with kids being free. Registration begins at 12:30 PM with a barbeque set for 1:00 PM. At approximately 1:40 PM, the 1987 team will be honored on the field with the game between the Rams and Blackbirds set for 2:00 PM.
