Bronx, N.Y. – In what has become an annual fall game, the Fordham baseball team hosted its 12
th annual Alumni Game, where the current team takes on the Fordham baseball alumni in a five-inning exhibition game.
The game started out great for the alumni, who had 32 former players in attendance, as
Ryan McNally gave them a 1-0 lead by hitting an inside-the-park home run to center.
The current Rams then responded with six unanswered run to pull out to a 6-1 lead.
The alumni made it 6-2 in the fourth, when Charles Galiano hit a ground rule double to left center and came around to score on a single by
Matthew Kozuch.
That was as close as the alumni would get, as the current Rams added five more runs for an 11-2 victory. Fordham out hit the alumni 11-4 in the contest.
Defensively, the game was a relatively clean contest with only two errors in the game. Afterwards, a post game reception was held at Michaelangelo's, where a great time was had by all.
