Baseball Holds Annual Alumni Game

Current Rams Top Alumni, 11-2

Bronx, N.Y. – In what has become an annual fall game, the Fordham baseball team hosted its 12th annual Alumni Game, where the current team takes on the Fordham baseball alumni in a five-inning exhibition game.

The game started out great for the alumni, who had 32 former players in attendance, as Ryan McNally gave them a 1-0 lead by hitting an inside-the-park home run to center.

The current Rams then responded with six unanswered run to pull out to a 6-1 lead.

The alumni made it 6-2 in the fourth, when Charles Galiano hit a ground rule double to left center and came around to score on a single by Matthew Kozuch.

That was as close as the alumni would get, as the current Rams added five more runs for an 11-2 victory.  Fordham out hit the alumni 11-4 in the contest.

Defensively, the game was a relatively clean contest with only two errors in the game.  Afterwards, a post game reception was held at Michaelangelo's, where a great time was had by all.
