The Fordham University men's tennis team opened the 2016 fall season hosting New York University and St. Francis Brooklyn in the Fordham Three-In-The-Fall tournament in the Bronx.
The Rams finished the day with a 9-16 record in singles play and a 6-8 record in doubles play, for an overall record of 15-22 against their opponents from New York University and St. Francis Brooklyn. New York University finished first with 27 points followed by Fordham (15) and St. Francis (12).
Sophomore
Victor Li lead the Rams finishing the weekend with a 1-0 singles record and a 2-1 doubles record. His doubles teammate, freshman
Fabian Mauritzson, finished 1-3 in his singles matches.
Freshman
Steven Duka finished with an overall record of 4-4, splitting his singles matches 2-2 and splitting each of his doubles matches with junior
Joseph Kavaloski and freshman
Gabriel Mashaal 1-1 respectively. Kavoloski finished 1-2 in singles play and Mashaal finished 0-3 in his singles matches.
Freshman
Jeremy Chung finished the weekend 3-3, going 2-2 in singles play and 1-2 in doubles play. Chung's doubles partner, freshman
Allen Thornes, went 0-4 in singles play.
Juniors
Harris Durkovic and
Cameron Posillico both went 1-0 in singles their lone singles matches but were 0-3 as a doubles team.
The Rams are back in action on Wednesday September 28 as they host Ramapo College at 12:30pm in the Bronx.
