Stony Brook, N.Y. – The Fordham University men's and women's outdoor track and field teams competed at the Wolfie Invitational at Stony Brook University on Saturday where the men placed third of six teams and the women fourth of seven teams.

Stony Brook won the men's team title with 199 points, followed by Sacred Heart (137), Fordham (68), Marist (38), Quinnipiac (20) and Iona.

The Seawolves also won the women's team title with 226 points, followed by Quinnipiac (140), Sacred Heart (65), Fordham (63), St. John's (54), Marist (23) and Iona (14).

Nicholas Regan won the javelin for the Fordham men with a season-best throw of 185-06, easily beating second place finisher Chris Hand.

The Rams also had a pair of relays win races today with the men's 4x400 A team winning  in a season-best time of 3:24.67, beating Stony Brook to the line by 0.38 seconds, while the B team placed fifth (3:38.30).

The women's 4x400 A relay also won today in a season-best time of 3:54.85, 3.40 seconds in front of Stony Brook while the B team placed third in 4:09.36 and the Fordham C team was eighth in 4:20.88.

The Fordham men had three second place finishers with
Louis Santelli taking second in the 400m in a time of 49.35, just 0.10 seconds behind the winner Wayne Williams of Stony Brook;
Fritz Heinrich placing second in the 1500m in a season-best time of 4:00.24, 0.12 seconds behind Gabriel Vazquez who won the race; and
Jonathan Annelli finishing second in the 800m in a season-best time of 1:54.52. He was the top collegiate runner, earning ten points for the Rams.

For the women,
Brianna Tevnan placed second in the 3000m in a season-best time of 10:15.61, just under three seconds behind the winner, while
Laurel Fisher was second in the 3000m steeplechase in 11:44.27Â Â
