Final Women's ResultsÂ
Boston – The Fordham men's and women's indoor track & field teams earned eight spots on the All-East teams after terrific performances in the respective 4x800 meter relays on the final day of the 2016 ECAC/IC4A Indoor Championships.

The two events were the only two that the Rams competed in and due to their performances, both teams have now qualified for the outdoor events in a few months.

The women's quartet of
Merissa Wright,
Kate McCormack,
Shanna Heaney, and
Danielle Rowe nearly set a new school record with their 8:46.54 time, an improvement of seven seconds from the preliminaries on Saturday. Rowe was part of the 2015 team that set the program record with a time of 8:45.02.

The men's team of
Fritz Heinrich,
Brian Cook,
Louis Santelli, and
Sean Phillips crossed in 7:35.46, nearly an identical time as in the preliminaries, and finished seventh overall.

All eight student-athletes were named to the All-East teams for their performances.Â

The Rams have three weeks off before the outdoor season begins with the Fred Hardy Invitational on Friday, March 25, in Richmond, Va. Events begin at 11 a.m.Â
