Bucknell Box ScoreThe Fordham squash team wrapped up its home schedule on Saturday afternoon with matches against NYU and Bucknell at the Lombardi Center Squash Courts. Unfortunately, the short-handed Rams fell in both matches with an 8-1 loss to NYU and a 6-3 defeat to Bucknell.
Playing with only eight players, the Rams were already behind in both matches. In the opener against NYU, only top player
Kincade Webster could come away with a win, as he defeated Max McCafferty, 11-5, 11-3, and 11-5. Fordham's
Sahil Bahri fought his way back in his #5 slot match with Luca Diadul after going down two games to force a fifth game, but eventually fell, 11-8, 11-8, 4-11, 8-11, and 11-6.
In match two on Saturday, Fordham got wins from Webster,
Jeremy Keller and
Robert Levis, but the Rams still fell to Bucknell, 6-3.
Webster started things with a #1 position win over Bucknell's Mike Gagnier, 11-7, 11-6, and 11-4, while Keller won his #2 slot match versus Tyler Edwards in five games, 12-14, 14-12, 11-9, 2-11, and 11-7. Levis then rounded out the wins in the #8 slot with a five-game win over Bucknell's Sam Klahu, 11-9, 11-9, 2-11, 8-11, and 11-8.
The Rams will next be in action on February 19-21 at the CSA Team Championship in New Haven, Connecticut.
