Bridgeport, Pa. – The Collegiate Water Polo Association announced its Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference weekly awards this week with junior
Alex Jahns (Greenwich, Conn.) being named Defensive Player of the Week and
Jake Miller-Tolt (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) earning Rookie of the Week honors. It is Jahns second weekly awards of the season and the first for Miller-Tolt
Jahns went 3-0 in the goal, helping Fordham to wins over Iona, Mercyhurst, and Salem International last week. He posted 23 saves and a 5.45 GAA over 11 quarters to go with three assists and eight steals. He had five saves and two steals in a win over Iona, while notched nine saves, including a penalty block, to go with two assists and four steals in a win over Mercyhurst. Jahns finished the week with nine stops over three quarters of action with two steals against Salem International.
Miller-Tolt netted eight goals, five assists, 14 steals, and a block in three wins by the Rams this past week. He registered three goals, an assist, and five steals versus Iona in the annual Judge Cup game. Then on Saturday, he tallied three goals, two assists, and five steals against Mercyhurst and notched two goals, two assists, and four steals in a win over Salem International.
The Fordham water polo team will next be in action on Wednesday, November 2
nd, as they travel to Wagner for a 7:30 PM contest.
