Makay Redd was named to the 2016 Patriot League All-Academic Team it was announced by the league office.

Redd, a Finance major, started all eleven games for the Rams, making good on eleven of his 16 field goal attempts with a long of 44 yards. He also connected on 49 of his 52 PATs, setting a school and Patriot League record with eleven PATs in win over Elizabeth City State on September 10. Redd is second in Patriot League and 37th in NCAA FCS in field goals/game (1.00) and is fourth in the Patriot League and 33rd in the NCAA FCS in scoring (7.5 points per game).

Redd's 49 PATs this fall is third most in a season in school history while his 89 career PATs is third best in school history.

The Academic All-Patriot League Team honors student-athletes who excel both on and off the field and has 14 student-athletes to equal one-half the size of the All-Patriot League Football First Team. The awards are nominated and voted on by the Patriot League football sports information directors.

The Rams closed out the season with an 8-3 overall record, 5-1 in the Patriot League. It is Fordham's fourth straight winning season, the first time the Rams have posted four consecutive winning campaigns since 1976-1979.
