Chase Edmonds and senior defensive back
Jihaad Pretlow were named Patriot League Offensive and Special Teams Player of the Week, respectively, it was announced today. Additionally, Edmonds was also named Honorable Mention STATS FCS National Offensive Player of Week the College Sports Madness Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week.

In a 36-22 season-ending Patriot League win at Bucknell last Saturday, Edmonds carried 29 times for 181 yards and three touchdowns, scoring on runs of four, one and two yards. He also caught one pass for 19 yards and helped the Rams seal the win with four straight carries for a total of 50 yards, including a two-yard scoring run, inside the final two minutes of the game.

On the season, Edmonds rushed 257 times for 1,799 yards and 19 touchdowns. He leads the NCAA FCS in rushing yards and rushing yards per game (163.5) as well as ranking second in rushing touchdowns and all-purpose yards per game (194.6). The 1,799 yards is just 39 yards shy of Edmonds' school single season record set in 2014.

Over his career, Edmonds has rushed for 5,285 yards and 62 touchdowns, both school and Patriot League records.

Pretlow returned three kickoffs 112 yards against Bucknell, including taking the opening kickoff 56 yards to set up Fordham's first score of the day. He also made five tackles on defense, four solo, including one for loss.

On the year, Pretlow returned 18 kickoffs for 511 yards (28.4 average) with a long of 83 yards. He led the League and is ranked sixth in the NCAA FCS in kickoff return average.

The Rams closed out the season with an 8-3 overall record, 5-1 in the Patriot League. It is Fordham's fourth straight winning season, the first time the Rams have posted four consecutive winning campaigns since 1976-1979.
