Lawrenceville, N.J. – The Fordham men's tennis team wrapped up a busy weekend with its second road win over the past two days, a 5-2 victory over Rider.
 
The Rams opened play by taking the doubles point, winning two of three doubles matches. Harris Durkovic and Joey Brander shut out Rider's Matthew Begley and Agaazi Berhane at second doubles, 6-0, and then Cameron Posillico and Mikolaj Borak clinched the doubles point for Fordham with a 6-2 win over Brandon Gildea and Jeremy Van Herwarde at third doubles.
 
Borak earned the second Fordham point with a straight set win over Gildea at fifth singles, 6-0, 6-3, before Rider picked up a point as Diego Delgado defeated Fordham's Cameron Posillico at the second position, 6-0, 6-3.
 
Joseph Kavaloski got the Rams back on the board with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Van Herwarde at third singles but a 6-1, 6-3 win by Rider's Ryan Ciaccio over Christopher Caroli at sixth singles cut the Fordham lead to 3-2.
 
Brander secured the win for the Rams when he upended Agaazi Berhane at the fourth position, 6-1, 6-2, and Pedro Alonzo made it a 5-2 final with a 7-6 (5), 6-1 win over Chris Popso at first singles.
 
The Rams return to action on September 25 and 26 as they compete at the Hofstra Invitational.
