Box ScoreQueens, N.Y. (February 7, 2015) – The Fordham University men's tennis team continued its 2015 spring schedule on Saturday, falling to Bucknell University, 6-1, at Queens College.
The Rams lone point came at third singles where
Pol Giraldez defeated Octavio Canibe, dropping the first set, 7-5, but coming back to win the second, 7-5, and third, 10-7.
The match opened with Bucknell taking the doubles point, winning both completed doubles matches. Bryan Adams and Nick Bybel upended
J.J. Tauil and
Max Peara, 6-3, at first doubles while Ben Gerber and Maxwell Kane bested
Joey Brander and
Joseph Kavaloski at third doubles, 6-3. Giraldez and
Pedro Alonzo were trailing Octavio Canibe and Daniel Wright at second doubles, 5-4, when the match was halted.
Fordham then dropped five of the six singles matches.
The Rams return to action on Saturday, February 14, as they host the Davidson College Wildcats at Life Time Fitness in Harrison, N.Y.
