The Fordham squash team wrapped up its regular season on Saturday, posting a 9-0 win over Colgate, while falling to NYU, 5-4.

With the split, Fordham is now 10-5 on the season.

The Rams opened the day with a clean sweep of Colgate, 9-0.

James Potts each won their matches in three games, while

Matthew Crowe each won in four.Â

The lone match to go the distance was at the seventh slot between Fordham's
Jimmy Shinnick and Colgate's Reed Schultz. Shinnick won the first two games, 11-6 and 11-9, but Schultz rallied to take the next two, 11-6 and 11-6. Shinnick would recover to win the final game, 11-5, to complete the sweep of Colgate.

The Rams' match against NYU was a grueling one, as two matches went the distance, while six others went four.  Fordham would come up just short against the Violets, falling by a 5-4 score.

Webster and Yuen won at the top two slots for the Rams in five and four games, respectively, over Max McAfferty and Andrew Fu. Monaghan also earned the Rams' a point defeating Andre Li at the fifth slot, 11-5, 11-7, 10-12, and 11-4, while LaVersa got the final win at the sixth slot in four games over Jay Prasad.

The Fordham squash team will next be in action February 20-22, at the CSA Team Championship, hosted by Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.
