Squash Drops First Match of Navy Round Robin

The Fordham squash team opened its 2015-16 season on Friday at the 2015 Navy Round Robin, hosted by the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.

The Rams took on the host school, falling to the Midshipmen, 9-0.

Fordham lost all eight individual matches in straight games, while the ninth match was defaulted to Navy.

The tightest match for the Rams was in the #1 slot, as Senen Ubina of Navy topped Fordham's Kincade Webster, 11-8, 11-3, and 11-5, while Jack Herold of Navy topped Fordham's Peter Yuen at the #2 slot, 11-4, 11-2, and 11-7.  Matthew Crowe also gave it a good run at the #7 slot for Fordham as he fell to Navy's Reed Whitney, 11-4, 11-1, 11-6.

The Navy Round Robin continues for Fordham on Saturday, November 7th, as the Rams take on Washington at 9:00 AM and Haverford at 2:00 PM.
