Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham freshman wide receiver Austin Longi was named Corvias Patriot League Rookie of the Week it was announced today.
 
In Fordham's 31-29 Patriot League loss at Colgate on Saturday, Longi caught ten passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns. Both his scores came in the final quarter as the Rams rallied from a 24-9 deficit with 20 fourth-quarter points. His first score was on a five-yard pass from Kevin Anderson with 12:36 left to make it a 24-16 game and his second was a seven-yard reception with 27 seconds left to pull Fordham within eight, 31-23.
 
On the year, Longi has 28 receptions for 376 yards and a team-high six touchdowns. He is third on the team in receptions and second in receiving yards.  
 
The Rams (7-2, 3-1) return to action on Saturday, November 7, as they host Bucknell University on Jack Coffey Field at 1:00 p.m.
