Alejandro Cardenas were named Corvias Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week and Special Teams Player of the Week, respectively, it was announced today.
In Fordham's 38-31 Patriot League win at Georgetown on Saturday, Hodge made a game-high 14 tackles, five solo, and he returned an interception 55-yards for a touchdown. The pick six gave the Rams a 28-7 lead midway through the second quarter. The award is the second of the 2015 season.
On the year, Hodge leads the Rams with 109 total tackles, 61 solo, including 10.5 for loss and 2.5 sacks. He is ranked third in the Patriot League in tackles/game while Hodge also has three interceptions, three pass breakups, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
Cardenas, who earns his first weekly award, was perfect on all five of his PATs on Saturday and connected on a 40-yard field goal to give the Rams a 31-21 lead with 8:44 left in the third.
On the season, Cardenas connected on three field goals and is a perfect 9-for-9 on PATs.
