Marcus Taylor to Join Fordham Athletic Hall of Fame on February 7th

Newest member join likes of Vince Lombardi and Frankie Frisch

Bronx, N.Y. (January 15, 2015) - The ranks of Fordham University Athletic Hall of Fame will grow by seven on Saturday, February 7th, as the Rams induct the newest class at the annual Hall of Fame Awards Lunch at 2:15 p.m. in Fordham's McGinley Center located on the school's Bronx campus.
 
12248Joining the likes of such Fordham notables as Frankie Frisch, Vince Lombardi, Vin Scully, Wellington Mara and Peter Harnisch will be Erin Brooks, GSB '04 (Softball), Matt DiBuono, FCRH '09 (Track & Field), Dominique Liguori Damian, FCRH '09 (Tennis), Mark Porcaro, FCRH '04 (Track & Field), Marcus Stout, GSB '08 (Basketball), Kevin Sullivan, GSB '74 (Water Polo), and Marcus Taylor, GSB '07 (Football).
 
Taylor was named a 2006 All-American as well as the 2006 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year. He led team that year, and was second in the Patriot League, with 116 total tackles while in 2007 he led league in both forced fumbles and fumbles recovered. Nationally, Taylor was ranked eleventh nationally in the FCS in total tackles and 50th in tackles for a loss in 2006. A Second Team All-Patriot League pick as a junior, he was second in the League and 17th in the NCAA FCS in tackles in 2005.
 
Check in for the 2015 Hall of Fame ceremony will begin at 1:00 p.m. with lunch being served at 1:30 p.m. The formal induction ceremony will begin at approximately 2:15 p.m.  New York Yankees announcer, and Fordham alum, Michael Kay will serve as the Master of Ceremony at the lunch. 
 
Following the ceremony, the Hall of Famers will attend the Fordham-Saint Louis men's basketball game in the Rose Hill Gym at 4:00 p.m., a game that will be televised live on the NBC Sports Network, with the new class being introduced to the crowd at halftime.
