Chase Edmonds were named the Corvias Patriot League Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, it was announced by the league today. Additionally, Nebrich was also named a Beyond Sports Network Athlete of the Week, checking in at number six on the top 15 list..

It is the third rookie of the week award for Edmonds while Nebrich picks up his first weekly award of 2014, the sixth of his Fordham career.

Mike NebrichIn a 49-7 Liberty Cup win over Columbia in Manhattan last Saturday, Nebrich completed 32 of 48 passes for 435 yards and four touchdowns. He tied his career-high in scoring tosses while also recording his fifth career 400-yard passing game, surpassing John Skelton's former school record of four 400-yard games. The 435-yard day tied for the 16th-best single-game outing in Patriot League history.

On the year, Nebrich has completed 79 of 140 passes for 1,136 yards and eight touchdowns. He leads the Patriot League and is fifth in the NCAA FCS in passing yards/game (284.0) and also leads the League and is tied for seventh in the NCAA FCS in touchdown passes. He leads all active FCS players in career total offense and passing yards per game.

Edmonds rushed 27 times for 174 yards with one score and also caught three passes for 41 yards and another touchdown in the Columbia win. He totaled 240 all-purpose yards in the contest, and leads the nation with 220.0 all-purpose yards in his first four contests. He has topped 150 yards rushing in three of his first four games.

On the year, Edmonds has rushed for 581 yards on 77 carries with seven touchdowns and he has also returned eleven kickoffs for 250 yards (22.7/return) and caught four passes for 49 yards and a score.

The 3-1 Rams, ranked 16
th in the latest Sports Network NCAA FCS poll, open Patriot League play this weekend as they travel to Worcester, Mass., to face the Holy Cross Crusaders on Fitton Field at 1:00 p.m. in the annual Ram-Crusader Cup battle.
