Bronx, N.Y. (August 6, 2014) - The Fordham Football Rams opened the day with the news that three of its members were named to the Beyond Sports Network's 20 FCS Players to Watch in 2014, one of only two teams to have three players on the list (joined by Eastern Washington). Tight end Dan Light was number 17, wide receiver Sam Ajala checked in at number ten and quarterback Mike Nebrich, coming off his record-setting season in 2103, was rated as the top FCS player to watch in 2014.

The practice ended with three field goals attempts with members of the team providing distraction for the kickers but all three kicks were true, the first from Patrick Fordham, the second from Makay Redd and the final, and longest, from Michael Marando.
