Members of the Fordham water polo team took part in Locks for Love this spring, where individuals donate their hair to charity.
Â
Sophomores
Sean Sullivan and
Mike Hay cut off eight inches of hair and sent it to Pantene, which provides free wigs for women with cancer through their Beautiful Lengths program.
Â
"It took about a year and a half to grow out," said Sullivan. "We decided during the water polo season that we should both grow our hair out in order to donate it. It was a great experience and I highly suggest any male (or female) take the time to grow out their hair in order to donate it."
