Stony Brook, N.Y. (April 12, 2014) – The Fordham University men's tennis team concluded its 2013-2014 regular season today with a trip out to Long Island where the Rams fell to Stony Brook University, 4-2, on University Courts on Saturday.
 
The Rams opened the match winning the doubles points, taking both completed doubles matches. Michael Puntillo and Alastair Barnes teamed up to win first doubles, 8-6, over Jose Morales and Alexandre Felisa and Matty Najfeld and J.J. Tauil defeated Marcelo Locatelli and Tyler Hoffman at second doubles, 8-2.
 
But the Rams could only win one single match, that coming at sixth singles where Max Peara defeated Brandon Stone in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5.
 
The Rams will close out the season at the 2014 Atlantic 10 Championship which starts on Thursday, April 17, at the Boar's Head Sports Club in Charlottesville, Va
