Behind three first period goals from Liam Veazey, the 17
th-ranked St. Francis (NY) Terriers defeated the Fordham Rams, 11-7, at the SFC Aquatics Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

With the loss, Fordham falls to 11-13 overall, 2-6 in the CWPA Northern Division.

The Terriers led 3-1 after the first quarter behind three goals from Veazey.

Fordham pulled within one, 3-2 in the second quarter after a goal by
R.J. Simmons, but Terriers responded with a marker by Boris Dimitrov to lead, 4-2, at halftime.

The Rams got back within one, 4-3, after a goal from
Ethan Vandeventer to start the third quarter. However, St. Francis (NY) scored four straight times to extend the lead to 8-3 by the end of the period.

Fordham would outscore the Terriers in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough, as the Rams fell by an 11-7 count.

For Fordham, Vandeventer and Simmons each scored twice, while
Andrew Gonzalez,
Davis DeFontes, and
Eric Minowitz scored once each.

The Rams will be back in action with a busy weekend coming up. Fordham will host four matches at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center, starting with matches against MIT and Connecticut College on Saturday, November 1
st, at 11:00 AM and 3:30 PM, respectively.
