The Collegiate Water Polo Association released its weekly honor roll on Thursday, and Fordham sophomore
Patrick Lenihan (Del Mar, Calif./Torrey Pines) was selected as the Northern Division Player of the Week. This is the first career weekly award for Lenihan.
The Rams' sophomore driver had a solid weekend at Bucknell's Bison Invitational. He totaled eight goals and three steals in four games over the tournament. He opened the Invitational with a goal and two steals in a win over Washington & Jefferson, and later that day scored four times in Fordham's loss to Diablo Valley College. His best performance came on Sunday in a win over Mercyhurst, as he notched three goals and a steal.
Overall, Lenihan is currently second on the Rams with 15 goals this season.
Lenihan and the rest of the Rams, who entered the CWPA top 10 poll this week at #10, have a busy weekend ahead with four home divisional games at the Messmore Aquatic Center. Fordham hosts Harvard (2:00 PM) and Brown (7:00 PM) on Saturday, September 21
st, while taking on MIT (10:00 AM)
