CENTER VALLEY, Pa. (September 19, 2013) - Fordham University junior wide receiver
Sam Ajala (DeSota, Tex./DeSota) was recognized by the Patriot League on Thursday as he was honored with the Rockin' Refuel® Performance of the Week award for his outstanding outing in the Rams' 30-29 upset win at Temple last Saturday. He is the second Ram to earn the accolade, joining quarterback
Mike Nebrich, who won the inaugural award following the Rhode Island game earlier this year.
Ajala caught seven passes for a career-high 134 yards and one score, that coming on Fordham's last offensive play of the game when he grabbed a 29-yard scoring pass from Nebrich in the end zone to tie the game at 29.
Michael Marando added the extra point to lead the Rams to the upset win.
