Brian Wetzel was honored by the Patriot League today being named the Special Teams Player of the Week for his performances in the Rams' win over Colgate on Saturday. Additionally, Wetzel was also named the College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) punt returned of the week while junior quarterback

Tebucky Jones were named honorable mention quarterback and wide receiver performer of the week, respectively, by the CFPA and Nebrich was also named the College Sports Madness Patriot League offensive player of the week.
In a 56-19 win over Colgate in Hamilton on Saturday, Wetzel returned six punts for 109 yards, including one he brought back 81 yards for a touchdown, his second 80-yard punt return of the season. He is the first Fordham player to record two punt retuns for more than 80 yards. Wetzel also caught eight passes for 73 yards and three touchdowns in the game.
On the year, Wetzel has returned 23 punts for 278 yards. leading et Patriot League and ranking eighth in the NCAA FCS in punt return average (12.1). He also has 77 receptions for 938 yards and 13 touchdowns on the year, ranking fourth in the league in receptions/game and fifth in receiving yards/game. His 13 receiving touchdowns in one shy of the school record, set by Javarus Dudley in 2003.
Nebrich completed 29 of 38 passes for 395 yards and five touchdown on Saturday, throwing scoring strikes of 14, 86, 5, 4 and 2 yards.
On the year, Nebrich has completed 284 of 379 passes for 3,576 yards and 28 touchdowns. He broke Mark Carney's record of 27 touchdown passes in a season, set in 2001, and tied John Skelton's mark of 284 completions in a season, set in 2009. Nebrich's 3,576 yards this year is second only to Skelton's 3,708 yards in 2009. He leads the NCAA FCS in completion percentage e(.749) and is second in passing efficiency (175.4), third in total offense (365.4 yards/game), and fifth in passing yards/game (325.1).
Jones caught 12 passes for 224 yards and a touchdown in the Colgate game, bringing his season totals to 76 receptions for 1,067 yards as he joins
Sam Ajala as 1,000-receivers, marking the first time in school history that a Fordham team has two 1,000-yard receivers.
Jones is ranked 13
th in the NCAA in both receptions and receiving yards per game.
The Rams, ranked sixth in the latest NCAA FCS Coaches poll and ninth in the Sports Network poll, return to action on Saturday, November 30, as they host the Sacred Heart University Pioneers in the first round of the 2013 NCAA Division I Football Championship on Jack Coffey Field at 1:00 p.m.
