Fordham’s Anisa Arsenault Named 2013 Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference For Cross Country

Senior Harrier Receives First Atlantic 10 Academic Award

Bronx, NY (November 18, 2013) – Fordham University senior Anisa Arsenault was recognized for her athletic and academic accomplishments by being named 2013 Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference for women's cross country in  a vote by the conference's Sports Information Directors.
 
Arsenault, a Communications and Media Studies major with a 3.87 cumulative GPA, finished 27th at the 2013 A-10 Championships in a personal-best time of 17:58.3, the first Fordham runner across the line, on November 2 at Pole Green Park in Richmond, Virginia.
 
The top Fordham women's cross country performer all year, Arsenault also took fourth at the Metropolitan Championships, fifth at the Tribe Open, sixth at the Fordham Fiasco and seventh at the Williams Invitational.
 
More recently, Arsenault placed 94th place in 22:15.4 at the NCAA East Regional held at Van Cortlandt Park last weekend.
 
The Fordham cross country teams wrap up their 2013 season next weekend, as the Rams host the ECAC/IC4A Championship at Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday, November 23rd.
