Squash Competes at Navy Round Robin

The Fordham squash team traveled to Annapolis, Maryland for the Navy Round Robin this past weekend, posting a 2-2 record, despite missing three players.
 
After opening with a 7-1 loss to Navy on Friday, Fordham bounced back with a 7-0 win over Bard College.  The Rams won six of the seven matches in straight sets, while Carlos Ortiz took his match in four.
 
"The team played possibly their best squash that I have seen since becoming the coach," said head coach Bryan Patterson.
 
The Rams next match came against Johns Hopkins, where the Rams fell to the Blue Jays, 7-1.  Fordham's lone point of the match came from Paul Monaghan, who won at the third slot in comeback fashion, after dropping the first two sets to Adity Mittal.
 
Fordham's final match of the tournament was against Washington University of St. Louis, where the Rams pulled out an 8-0 win.
 
The Fordham squash team is back in action on Sunday, November 17^th, when the Rams host NYU at 2:00 PM.
