New York, N.Y. - (Dec. 3, 2007) - The Fordham squash team dropped their sixth straight match this season on Monday night, as they fell at local rival Columbia, 8-1.
Fordham's lone point came from Steve Cinquino at the ninth slot, topping Edward Choi in five games. Final game scores were 9-3, 9-5, 2-9, 1-9, and 9-4. This was the third straight match that Cinquino has earned a point for Fordham.
Fordham almost picked up a second point at the fifth slot as Brandon Abbatiello pushed Jehangir Jejeebhoy to a five-set match, but Abbatiello couldn't hold a 2-1 set lead, falling 9-5, 4-9, 6-9, 9-5, and 9-4.
The Fordham squash team will next be in action on Saturday, December 8th, as they host Bard College at the Lombardi Center Squash Courts, beginning at 1:00 PM.
