Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - (Nov. 15, 2007) - Fordham's Brandon Abbatiello defeated Vassar's Aniruddah Mundra at the number five slot, but it was not enough as Fordham fell to Vassar, 8-1, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
In victory, Vassar evened its record at 1-1, posting their third straight win over the Rams, while Fordham falls to 1-5.
Vassar opened with four straight wins, and clinched the match for the Brewers at No. 9 singles, where Nick Lupo defeated James Lechleitner in three straight games.
Besides Abbatiello, only one other match went beyond three games, as Steve Cinquino lost in four games to Jose Rivera.
The Fordham squash team will next be in action on December 1st, when they meet Penn State and Haverford.
