Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham University Rams open their 2026 Atlantic 10 season by hosting the Loyola University Chicago Ramblers at Moglia Stadium on Sunday, September 20, at 1:00 p.m. Following the game, the Rams will honor their seniors on a special ceremony.
Fordham enters the game with an 3-3-1 record after a 5-1 loss at Yale last Sunday while Loyola Chicago is 3-2-3 and is coming off a 1-1 tie at Marquette last Sunday.
SERIES HISTORY
- This will be the fifth meeting between the Rams and the Ramblers.
- Loyola Chicago leads the all-time series, which started in 1998, 2-1-1.
- The Ramblers took last year's meeting, 1-0, in Chicago on Sept. 21 as Zoe Hevey scored the lone goal in the 22nd minute for Loyola and Allison Deardorff recorded the clean sheet in the Ramblers' net.
THE OPPONENT
- Loyola Chicago was picked fifth in the Atlantic 10 in the preseason coaches' poll, just behind Fordham.
- The Ramblers are led by Maggie Schmidt, who has a pair of goals in 2026, and Allison Deardorff, who enters Sunday with a 0.88 GGA.

- Addison Green and Piper Hasbrook will serve as the 2026 team captains for the Rams.
- With the addition of Liv Johnsen, the Rams will feature a sister act for the fourth time in team history and first since 2015 with her older sister, Lena Johnsen (Jennifer & Jacquelyn Driscoll – 1994-96; Lauren & Casey Nowakowski – 2010; Kristina & Marjana Maksuti – 2015)
- Liv Johnsen and Baylee Canet have joined the first-timers club over the first three games of the season as each recorded their first collegiate goal this season with Canet's against #14 Georgetown and Johnsen's against Marist.
- The Rams are led by 2024 Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year Magnus Nilerud, who is in his fifth season at Rose Hill (31-35-12 at Fordham; 326-161-39 overall)

- The Rams continue their Atlantic 10 schedule by traveling to Fairfax, Va., to take on the George Mason University Patriots on Thursday, September 24, at 6:00 PM at George Mason Stadium.
- It will be the 13th meeting between the Rams and the Patriots.
