Patriot League Release
 
Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham senior linebacker Andrew Osmun and senior long snapper Michael Doctor were named 2026 Preseason All-Patriot League it was announced by the league today.
 
It is the first preseason accolade for each.
 
Andrew Osmun (Sr., LB, 6-1, 220, Spring Grove. Pa./Spring Grove Area)
2025 (Junior Season)
• Started all 12 games at linebacker.
• Recorded 100 total tackles, 49 solo, including eight for loss and one sack.
• Second on team in both total tackles and tackles for loss.
• Also had one interception, three pass breakups, and one forced fumble.
• Recorded double figure tackles in three games.
• Made a season-high eleven tackles, five solo, including one for loss and broke up a pass against Dartmouth.
 
Michael Doctor (Sr., LS, 6-1, 195, Buffalo, N.Y./Canisius)
2025 (Junior Season)
• Took over the long snapping duties in 2025
• Appeared in all 12 games, handling the long snapping duties.
• Made six total tackles on special teams, three solo.
• Recorded two stops, one solo, in season opener at Boston College.
 
Voting for the Preseason All-Patriot League Football Team, the offensive and defensive player of the year, and the preseason poll was completed by Patriot League football head coaches and football athletics communications contacts from the ten League schools. They were prohibited from voting for their team or student-athletes.
 
The Rams open the 2026 season on Friday night, August 28, as they open Patriot League play by hosting the Colgate University Raiders at Moglia Stadium at 6:00 p.m. Season and individual game tickets are now on sale on the Fordham Ticket website.
