BRONX, N.Y. – While many of their classmates are still enjoying their summer break, members of the 2026 Fordham football squad returned to campus on Monday and the Rams held their first official practice of camp today at Moglia Stadium.
 
Some notes on the 2026 season:

• The 2026 roster features 40 new faces, including 16 transfers.
• The Rams return seven student-athletes on offense who started at least four games last year, led by senior quarterback Gunnar Smith and senior wide receiver Nodin Tracy, the top receiver on the 2025 team.
• The Rams also return four student-athletes who started at least four games on defensive last year, led by senior linebacker Andrew Osmun, the leading returning tackler who amassed 100 stops last fall.
• The 2026 squad also features five new coaches:
  • Pushaun Brown (Running Backs)
  • Rob Eggerling (Defensive Line)
  • Ben Mason (Tight Ends)
  • Justin Mullgrav (Linebackers)
  • Diamond Weaver (Cornerbacks)
• The Rams will face two NCAA FBS schools this fall, North Dakota State, who is making to move to FBS this year, on September 5, and Coastal Carolina on September 12.
• The 2026 season also features the inaugural season of Patriot League play for Villanova and William & Mary, who each join the League after playing in the CAA. Richmond, who also played CAA football, joined the Patriot League last year.
• The Patriot League will kick off the season with a special Patriot League Football Preview Show on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. on ESPN+. The League-produced show will announce the preseason awards and promote the season.
• On Thursday, the League will hold its annual virtual media day.

The Rams open the 2026 season on Friday night, August 28, as they commence Patriot League play by hosting the Colgate University Raiders at Moglia Stadium at 6:00 p.m. Season and individual game tickets are now on sale on the Fordham Ticket website.
