Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham senior shortstop
Kate McGuire was named the 2026 Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year, it was announced by the league office today. McGuire was also named to the All-Conference team (second team) and was joined by six teammates on the All-Atlantic 10 squads.

Sadira Forcucci. Joining McGuire in earning second team honors were senior first base
Eva Koratsis and sophomore designated player
Victoria Klimaszewski. Additionally, Forcucci was named to the All-Rookie team, along with freshman pitcher
Sydney May, and Nogay was named to the All-Academic Team.
McGuire has started every game at shortstop this year for the Rams, recording 78 putouts along with 87 assists with just five errors for a .971 fielding percentage. At the plate, she is hitting .252 (38-151) with 15 doubles and 19 RBI. She leads the Atlantic 10 with her 15 doubles.
Nogay, now a four-time All-Atlantic 10 performer, is wrapping up one of the most successful careers in school history. She is hitting a league-best .394 (67-170) with a double, a triple, and nine RBI. She has 34 stolen bases on the year, second best in the A-10 and fifth in the NCAA. Over her career, she has 249 hits, fourth all-time at Fordham, with a .367 batting average, which is a Fordham record. She also set the Fordham career steals record this year with 117 to date.
In the classroom, Nogay is a Biology major with a 3.45 GPA.
Swan, a three-year starter, is hitting .297 (44-148) this spring with one double, two triples, and 13 RBI. She is also a perfect 7-for-7 in stolen base attempts.
Forcucci is enjoying one of the top rookie campaigns for a Fordham freshman. She is hitting .358 (49-137) with ten doubles, eight home runs, and 42 RBI, leading the team in home runs and RBI. She also leads the Atlantic 10 in RBI while ranking fourth in home runs and sixth in slugging percentage (.606).
Koratsis, a Second-Team All-Conference selection last spring who has started every game this year for the Rams, is batting at a .291 clip (46-158) with eleven doubles, three triples, seven home runs, and 33 RBI.
Klimaszewski, who has played multiple positions this year, is batting .316 (24-76) on the year with three doubles, three home runs, and 15 RBI. On the mound she has a 3-2 record with 27 strike outs in 37.1 innings.
May is enjoying a strong freshman season in the circle, appearing in 19 games, all but one in relief, and she has a 2-2 record with a 2.55 ERA and four saves. She is tied for second in the Atlantic 10 with her four saves.
After defeating Saint Joseph's at the Atlantic 10 Championship yesterday, thanks to 3.2 innings of no-hit pitching and a three-run home run from Klimaszewski, the Rams, seeded fourth, will face top-seeded Loyola Chicago on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. (EDT) at the Billiken Sports complex in St. Louis.
