Softball Closes Out Regular Season at Loyola Chicago

Rams to face first place Ramblers on ESPN+

Bronx, N.Y. – The Fordham softball team travels to the Windy City this weekend to close out its 2026 regular season schedule with a three-game Atlantic 10 series at Loyola University Chicago beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. (EDT).
 
Loyola enters the weekend with a 25-20 overall record, 17-4 in the Atlantic 10, while Fordham is 21-25 overall, 11-10 in the conference. The Ramblers are currently in first place in the A-10 while the Rams sit in tie for fourth with Dayton.
 
GAME COVERAGE SERIES HISTORY
  • Fordham leads the all-time series with Loyola Chicago, 5-4.
  • The Rams swept a three-game series with the Ramblers last year at Bahoshy Field.
NOTES
  • Senior outfielder Neleh Nogay has 243 career hits, sixth on the Fordham career hits list, two shy of Amy Van Hoven who sits in fifth.
  • Nogay leads the Atlantic 10 this year with 61 hits.
  • Nogay is second in the A-10 and seventh in the nation with 33 stolen bases on the year, while she ranks fifth nationally with 0.72 stolen bases per game.
  • Nogay holds the Fordham record for career stolen bases with 116 after breaking the previous mark of 85 earlier this season. She became just the sixth active player in all of Division I softball with 100 career steals, reaching triple digits against Army on Mar. 25.
  • Olivia Simcoe leads the A-10 with a 1.12 WHIP, tossing the third most innings of any conference pitcher with 121.1 this season.
  • Simcoe also leads the conference with eleven complete games.
  • Kate McGuire leads all hitters in the A-10 at two-base hits, posting 14 doubles on the year.
  • Fordham is second in the Atlantic 10 in fielding percent (.972) and is second in the conference with 0.46 double plays/game.
  • The Ram offense leads the league with 365 hits as a team, with seven different Rams posting at least 30 or more hits individually.

  • The top six teams will advance to the 2026 Atlantic 10 Softball Championship to be held from May 6-9 at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Mo.
