Softball Makes Changes to Weekend Series with George Washington

The Rams will now play a single game Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and doubleheader Sunday at Noon

Bronx, N.Y. – Hosting another Atlantic 10 series this weekend, Fordham University Softball takes on George Washington in a three game series Saturday and Sunday at Bahoshy Field.

Due to pending inclement weather the Rams and Revs will move to a single game Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and will play a doubleheader Sunday beginning at 12:00 p.m. with all games airing live on ESPN+.

Fordham (11-16, 4-5) split a doubleheader at home Saturday against Army taking a 2-1 win in game two after falling 7-1 in the first game. George Washington (15-12, 5-4) took an 8-7 win over Morgan State Wednesday after taking one of three games at Dayton last weekend.

The Maroon and White hold a 42-12 record against George Washington all time, though it was the Revolutionaries who swept last season's series in D.C. Apr. 12-13, 2025. Those victories snapped a seven game Fordham win streak prior to that. Fordham holds a 19-1 record against George Washington at home.

Notes

Stealing five bases across the three games last weekend, Neleh Nogay is second in the A-10 and 26th in the nation with 18 stolen bases on the year, while ranked 18th nationally with 0.67 stolen bases per game.

Nogay holds the Fordham record for career stolen bases after breaking the previous mark of 85 earlier this season. She became just the sixth active player in all of Division I softball with 100 career steals, reaching triple digits against Army on Mar. 25.

Fordham as a team are second in the Atlantic 10 with 14 double plays turned on the year, 35th in the nation, while averaging 0.52 double plays per game, 20th best in Division I.

Defensively the Rams are second in the league and 31st in the country with a .974 fielding percentage, committing just 16 errors on the year.

Olivia Simcoe has registered eight complete games for the Rams, which leads the A-10 and places her 27th amongst all Division I pitchers for complete games in 2026.

Fordham takes on George Washington for the first time with Matt Klampert leading the Revs. Klampert was an assistant under Head Coach Melissa Inouye for seven seasons, including her first four with Fordham, helping the Rams to the 2019 Atlantic 10 Championship which they won over George Washington.
