Miami, Fla. – Returning to action with a trip to the Sunshine State this weekend, Fordham University Softball heads to Miami for the FIU Classic Feb. 27-Mar. 1.
Opening the weekend with a pair of games Friday, the Rams take on South Dakota at 3:00 p.m. and against the hosts FIU at 5:30 p.m. On Saturday, the Rams take on Harvard at 10:00 a.m. before the final two games are scheduled based on the results of the first three games for each of the four teams, one Saturday afternoon, and one Sunday morning.
Friday's game at FIU and potential additional games against FIU will air live on ESPN+.
Having last weekend off, the Rams last played Feb. 13-15 at the Campbell/Cartier Classic hosted by San Diego State, collecting a pair of wins behind multiple record setting performances. The Rams went 2-3 out West, defeating Oregon State 5-2 in eight innings that Friday, and 5-0 over North Dakota Sunday.
Neleh Nogay became Fordham's new all-time stolen base leader, surpassing the previous mark of 85 set by Brianna Pinto '22. Nogay already has tallied six stolen bases this year, bringing her career tally up to 89.
On Sunday to close the tournament, Olivia Simcoe put on a standout performance in the circle, striking out 10 batters en route to her first collegiate no-hitter, the 19th in Fordham program history.
Fordham is slated to return to The Bronx on Wednesday for the 2026 home opener from the friendly confines of Bahoshy Field, a single game against Iona at 3:00 p.m.
