Track & Field Opens Two-Day Stay at Dr. Sander Scorcher

Rams Post Three Top Ten Performances on Friday

New York, N.Y. – (January 23, 2026) – The Fordham track & field team opened up a two-day stint at the Dr. Sander Scorcher, hosted by Columbia University at The Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory on Friday.

MEN'S MEET HIGHLIGHTS

The Rams had competitors in multiple events of the 400 and 800-meter runs on Friday.
In the
The 400-meter Seeded event saw Dakota Strain place 21^st in 50.38 seconds.
Then in the 400-meter Invitational, Sam Freeman ended up 6^th overall in 49.69 seconds.
The day finished with Eric Schleif in the 800-meter Invitational, taking 24^th in a season-best time of 1:54.67.

WOMEN'S MEET HIGHLIGHTS

Fordham had runners in various versions of the 60-meter hurdles, 400 meters, 800 meters, and 3,000 meters.
The meet opened with Alondra Baez in the 800-meter Open event, placing 36^th in 2:25.08.
In the 60-meter hurdle Invitational, Kylie Ritz was 12^th overall in 8.86 seconds.
Kathleen Keefe finished 47^th in the seeded 400-meter dash in 1:01.20.
Then in the 400-meter Invitational, Alexandra Williams posted a season-best time of 57.06 seconds, good for 13^th overall.
The 800-meter Invitational saw Brenna Sears ended up 26^th overall in a team-best time of 2:16.35.
Lastly in the 3,000-meter Invitational, Jodie Pierce posted a top ten finish in eighth place, bettering her ECAC qualifying time to 9:38.06, while Meredith Gotzman was 29^th in 9:55.76.

Fordham finishes competition at the Dr. Sander Scorcher on Saturday with events beginning at 9:00 AM.
