Women’s Soccer Hosts Two Home Contests This Week

Bronx, N.Y. – (September 24, 2025) – The Fordham women's soccer team looks to get back on track with a pair of home conference contests this week at Moglia Stadium.  The Rams welcome Saint Joseph's on Thursday night for their Leukemia Awareness match and Richmond on Sunday for Mental Health Awareness Day.
 
LAST TIME OUT

• Loyola Chicago snuck past Fordham, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon, behind a 22^nd minute goal from Zoe Hevey.
• The Rams peppered Loyola Chicago with 17 shots, but could not get an equalizer past Ramblers goalkeeper Allison Deardorff, as she made eight saves for her seventh shutout of the season.
• Kyla King totaled five saves for the Rams.

 
SERIES HISTORY

• Thursday will be the 31^st all-time meeting between Fordham and Saint Joseph's with the Hawks ahead in the series at 14-11-6, winning the previous four meetings.
• The teams last met in the Atlantic 10 Championship quarterfinals last season, when Saint Joseph's took a 2-1 win behind goals from Emily Hanrahan and Chloe Khelil.
• Sunday is the 19^th meeting for the Rams and Spiders with Richmond holding a 10-7-1 edge in the series.
• The squads met last year during the regular season, where Fordham took home a 1-0 win at Richmond behind an eighth minute goal by Liina Tervo.

• Saint Joseph's is 3-5-1 in 2025, 0-1 in the conference, after they dropped their A-10 opener, 1-0, to Rhode Island this past Sunday.
• Emily Hanrahan is the team's leading scorer with four goals and 10 points.
• Alli Popham has seen the majority of the time in net, starting seven games and allowing eight goals.
• Richmond enters the week at 3-3-3 overall, 0-1 in the Atlantic 10, following a 3-0 loss at Duquesne.
• The Spiders will play George Mason on Thursday before coming to the Bronx on Sunday.
• Emma Newman is Richmond's leading scorer with five goals and 12 points, while Veronica Rrapi has made seven starts in net with a 0.86 goals against average and three shutouts.
