Bronx, N.Y. – (September 19, 2025) – After finishing non-conference play at 5-2-1, the Fordham women's soccer team begins Atlantic 10 play this weekend, traveling to Loyola Chicago for a Sunday matinee at Loyola Soccer Park.
LAST TIME OUT
- Behind a two-goal performance from Liina Tervo, the Rams recorded a 3-2 win over the Yale Bulldogs on September 14th.
- Ava Giudice also scored for Fordham, while Renata Mercedes had a pair of assists.
- Kyla King made two saves in the win, improving to 4-1 on the year.
SERIES HISTORY
- Sunday will be the fourth meeting between the two Jesuit institutions.
- The teams each have a win to go with a draw.
- Loyola's win came in 1998 with Fordham's in 2016.The two squads played to a 2-2 draw last season at Moglia Stadium. In that game, Riley Carroll scored in the 89th minute to give the Rams the draw, while Liina Tervo also scored in the game.

- Loyola Chicago is also off to a great start, ending up 5-1-2 in non-conference play, which included a draw against then-#10 Iowa.

- Liina Tervo was named A-10 Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors on Monday, sharing the honor with Zoe Hevey of Loyola Chicago.Both players had two goals and an assist on the week.

- Tervo is second in the Atlantic 10 in goals (6) and points (14) and leads the league with three game-winning goals.
- With a goal on Sunday, Ava Guidice has found the scoresheet with a goal or an assist in six of the Rams' eight matches. Fordham is 5-0-1 when she records a point.
