Women’s Soccer Travels to Colorado for Two Matches

Rams Make First Ever Trip to the Rocky Mountain State to Play Colorado & Northern Colorado

Bronx, N.Y. – (August 20, 2025) – After a successful opener, the Fordham women's soccer team (1-0) hits the road for week two of the season, as the Rams head to Colorado for the first time for matches against Colorado (1-0-1) on Thursday and Northern Colorado (1-0-1) on Saturday.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • The Rams won their season opener by a 4-0 score this past Friday
  • Renata Mercedes scored twice in her debut, becoming the first Ram since Kristina Maksuti in 2011 to accomplish that feat
  • Liina Tervo and Ava Giudice also scored in the Marist match
  • Lena Johnsen tied a school record with three assists in the game (Casey Finnegan – vs. Saint Peter's - 2001)
  • Addison Green recorded seven saves for the shutout
  • The four-goal output was the second highest in a Rams' season opener (13 vs. Saint Peter's – 2001)
SERIES HISTORY
  • This weekend will be the first ever matches for Fordham against Colorado and Northern Colorado.
  • Colorado started its season with a 1-1 tie with #12 Michigan State, followed by a 4-1 win over Air Force
  • Northern Colorado played to a 1-1 draw with Omaha and defeated Oral Roberts, 1-0, to start their year, and will play Wyoming before taking on Fordham
