The RPI ranked the Rams' slate as the seventh toughest in Division I, which helped earn the Rams a final RPI ranking of 29. The Rams earned two results against two of the nation's six RPI teams, drawing with No. 5 Hofstra and defeating No. 6 Dayton, both on the road. Fordham also suffered a hard-luck loss at No. 7 Penn back in September.
