Former Michigan Wolverine to join Rams for 2025-26

BRONX, N.Y. – A 6-foot-7 guard with half a decade of high-major experience, Jace Howard has committed to play his final collegiate season at Fordham for Head Coach Mike Magpayo.

Howard comes to the Bronx from Michigan, where he began his career in 2020-21 under his father, "Fab Five" legend and current Brooklyn Nets Assistant Coach Juwan Howard.

"Jace is a physical, experienced player who injects athleticism, toughness, and leadership into our program," said Magpayo.  "Jace comes from an elite program in Michigan and is the type of well-rounded student-athlete who will thrive at Fordham. Jace has a high-performing mindset that suits our system well."

Over his five seasons in Ann Arbor, the two-year team captain and three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection appeared in 70 games, averaging 1.4 points and 0.9 points in 6.9 minutes per contest.

In 2022-23, he played in a career-high 30 games, averaging 1.2 points and 0.9 rebounds in 7.8 minutes per outing for a Michigan team that went 11-9 in the Big Ten and reached the second round of the NIT.  The following season in 2023-24, Howard enjoyed his most productive campaign as a Wolverine despite missing the first two months of the season with injury.  In 10 games, Howard averaged 2.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per contest.  This past season, Howard played in five games before missing the remainder of the season to injury.  Michigan went on to win 27 games, claim the Big Ten Tournament title and earn a no. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

In Howard's five seasons, Michigan qualified for three NCAA Tournaments (2021, 2022, 2025).

Howard played one season at Michigan with his brother, Jett, who is now a member of the Orlando Magic.
