BRONX – The 2026-2027 Fordham University men's basketball season will open in a historic venue, but it won't be the Rose Hill Gym. Nope, the Rams will travel to Lawrence, Kansas, to take on the University of Kansas in renown Allen Fieldhouse on Monday, November 2.
It will be the sixth meeting between the Rams and the four-time NCAA champions, the first since 1977. Fordham is 1-4 all-time against the Jayhawks in a series that started in 1940 at Madison Square Garden. It will also be Fordham's 20
th contest against a team from the Big 12, the first since a game at West Virginia in 2017.
It will also be Fordham's fifth game in the Sunflower State, the first since 1986 when the Rams won the Shocker Shootout at Wichita State University.
The Rams will be led by second-year head coach
Mike Magpayo, who led Fordham to a 17-15 overall record in his first year at Rose Hill. He will be joined by five returning players from 2025-26:
