EASTON, Pa. – Anchored by career-best effort from freshman
Patrick Ginnity, the Fordham golf team jumped one spot into seventh place during Monday's final round of the ABARTA Coca Cola Invitational hosted by Lafayette at Northampton Country Club.

After posting a one-under 71 in Sunday's opening round, Ginnity fired a two-under 70 on Monday to finish the tournament at three under in a tie for third place, one shot out of a playoff with Millersville's Timothy Peters and Merrimack's Kai-Jun Huang. Huang prevailed on the first extra hole. Sacred Heart won the team championship, five shots clear of Fairfield in second.

Ginnity, one of three Rams to shoot even or better on the day, started his final round on the ninth hole before carding birdies on 11, 15 and 18 to move to three under on the round. His lone bogey came on the 224-yard par-3 fourth hole before closing his day with four straight pars.

Playing as an individual,
AJ DePaolo also finished the day under par, carding a career-low 71 (-1) to jump 20 spots into a tie for 21
st (+4). Â Â

Sophomore
Felix Luetke Meyring birdied two of his final three holes on his way to a final-round 77, moving into a share of 28
th for the tournament (+6).

Jake Mrva, the event's defending champion, shot a Monday 78 to finish in a tie for 67
th (+13).Â

Senior
Chris Konefal enjoyed the best round-over-round improvement in the field, shooting an even-par 72 and jumping 28 spots into a tie for 72
nd (+14).

Liam Howard also finished in a tie for 72
nd after a final-round 78.

The Fordham golf team will return to action on Friday at the Jasper Spring Collegiate, hosted by Manhattan University and The Summit Club in Armonk, N.Y.
