Seekonk, Mass. – The Fordham golf squad opened its 2026-27 season by playing at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial at the Ledgemont Country Club on September 19 and 20, placing eleventh as a team, led by sophomore Kieran Cummings who placed fourth in the individual competition with a three-round score of 209, buoyed by a final round score of 68 on Sunday.
 
Cummings opened play on Saturday with an ever par 72 in round one followed by a 69 in round two. He carded four birdies in the first round and an eagle and five birdies in the second round. The eagle came on the par-4, 420-yard 18^th hole.
 
Cummings then turned in his top score on Sunday with a four-under 68, recording two birdies on the front nine and two more on the back where he shot a 33.
 
Junior Liam Howard was the second Ram in the individual competition, tying for 40^th with a score of 221. He shot a 75 and 74 on day one and a 72 on Sunday, with three birdies.
 
Also scoring for Fordham were senior Luke Brower who tied for 65^th with a 76-77-75-228 and junior Patrick Ginnity, who shot a 78-75-75-228. Brower carded yen birdies while Ginnity had four.
 
Also competing for the Rams was sophomore Jack St. Ledger, who tied for 75^th (84-72-78-234),
 
The Rams finished with a team score of 881, four strokes behind tenth-place LeMoyne and seven behind ninth-place Manhattan.

The Rams return to action on Saturday, October 3, as they open play at the Columbia Autumn Invitational at the Lake Placid Golf Club in Lake Placid, N.Y.
