ARMONK, N.Y. – The Fordham golf team enjoyed a strong start to the Jasper Spring Collegiate on Friday, carding a two-over 286 to sit in second place after 18 holes of play at The Summit Club.

The Rams are just four shots behind first-place Iona in the 12-team field entering Saturday's final round. Fordham is also fielding a second squad at the local event, and those Rams currently sit in 7
th. All nine Rams in action shot 77 or better on Friday morning. Six Fordham players are tied for 15
th or better while seven are tied for at least 20
th in the 63-man field.

After carding a career-best 71(-1) to close the ABARTA Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational on Monday,
AJ DePaolo finished under par and set a new career-low for the second straight round. The sophomore fired a two-under 69, one shot behind Iona's Sean Richards in tie for second. DePaolo bogeyed two of his first four holes before logging six birdies over his final 14. Â
