Washington, D.C. – (February 4, 2025) – The Atlantic 10 Conference released its set of weekly awards for indoor track & field on Tuesday afternoon with Fordham freshman
Njam Abdul-Latif (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Hayes) earning his fourth Men's Rookie of the Week award this season.
Abdul-Latif helped the Rams win their first-ever Metropolitan Indoor Championship last Friday. He won the 200-meter dash with a school record time of 21.41 seconds, bettering his own mark of 21.47 from last week. He also scored second in the 60-meter dash at 6.91 seconds.
Abdul-Latif currently ranks first in the Atlantic 10 in the 200 meters and tied for seventh in the 60 meters.
The Rams are next in action on Saturday, February 8
th, as Fordham will be competing at both the Millrose Games at the Nike Track & Field Center at the Armory in New York and the Big Apple Invitational on Staten Island.
